Description
This is an acrylic painting on about 1/2″ thick native sandstone, painted by a Zuni Sheepherder while tending his flock. These original one-of-a-kind paintings are by the famous “A. Cellicion”. They represent religious ceremonies performed by the Zuni Indians. It is said that he paints these while tending a flock of sheep way out in the wilds. We are lucky to find his paintings, as only a very few are made each year.
